Manufacturer vs Dealer: Where Should You Buy Bricks?

A brick manufacturer owns the land, clay pugmills, drying sheds, and kilns. They control raw material purity, sweet water usage, firing temperature, and dimensional sorting.

A building material dealer is a retailer who buys bricks from various kilns, transports them to a local roadside yard, and resells them alongside cement, sand, and aggregate.

Dealers add retail markup to cover their yard rent, double handling (loading at kiln, unloading at yard, reloading for customer), and profit margins.
